Friday Favorites

Welcome to the end of another week, friends! It's been yet another busy one as we celebrated Halloween with these hooligans on Monday...

We now have enough candy to tide us over until NEXT Halloween!

Our days seem to stay pretty busy and we (or I) am pooped by 8 pm! If I could find a way to add like two more hours to the day, I'd be doing well!

Anywho... here are some Friday Favorites!
I don't know how many of you use online printing companies. But if you do, I have a new recommendation for you!

I've used many different online printing companies and for the most part, am always very pleased, but it still usually takes longer than I want it to! Overnight Prints was a new try for me when ordering baby invitations for my sister-in-law's baby shower. And I loved them! The process was super easy, the shipping prices were very reasonable, the invitations got here quickly AND they looked great!

We do a lot of online printing with Two Dots from business cards to stickers and we will be using Overnight Prints from now on!

**If you use Etsy for Christmas photo cards (I have ALOT of great sellers for that if you need help!), this would be a great place to get those printed if you want them on a cardstock!

ANNNND I'm going to continue talking about my wedding makeup from my friend's wedding because I'm still in love with everything she used!

Personally, I had always wanted Urban Decay's Naked Eye Shadow Palette - it wasn't too many colors (which is OK to me) and it always got rave reviews.
The problem was that I didn't want to spend $60 on eye shadow! COME ON - let's be real!

The makeup artist at the wedding did have this palette and we discussed it... and her honest opinion was that it wasn't as great as the Morphe palette ... that was only $20!

You had me at $20!

She said that the quality was great and it was long-lasting (two questions I had because at $20 for what you get, I was skeptical).

There are a few different palette options, but this one seemed to have a great variety. And it's $20. Check it out!

PS. If anyone has a solid makeup brush set that they'd recommend, leave a comment!

If you are pregnant or if you are needing to buy a gift for a pregnant relative/friend... do not look any further. Get on Amazon and order one of these immediately!

This carseat canopy cover is soooo wonderful! Before this, I had bought an Aden + Anais lightweight cover for the summer, which was great because it was lightweight and she wasn't sweating to death. But as soon as we walked outside, it blew right over her face and over her head, leaving the sun directly in her eyes. So.. it served its purpose and it did not.

My friend Nicole however had one of these beauties for her baby girl and I went home and ordered one ASAP! There are MANY options on Amazon - tons of colors, patters, etc. Ours is a black and white stripe and it has held up so well!

Not only does it stretch over the carseat, but you can use it as a cover for shopping carts, highchairs at restaurants, a nursing cover. I took it off and used it as a canopy cover on an umbrella stroller. Seriously, for just over $20, you get your money's worth!

You are all going to hate me or love after this find. Because I'm hating and loving myself for finding it!

Brickyard Buffalo is a pop-up market that showcases companies and their items. It ranges from clothing, to home decor, to accessories ... So much fun stuff and all at discounted prices!

Like I found this and I want it...

And this...

Or these...
Take some time to browse! You won't be disappointed!

If you are looking for some inexpensive footwear, I usually suggest Target. Though I, myself, are pretty friggin' particular when it comes to the look of a shoe, I found a few pairs that I wanted to recommend!

The Julianna Booties kind of caught my eye because I've seen many outfits on Instagram that feature this style and color of bootie!

I LOVE this Abigail Block Heel Pump -- it's velvet! It's the perfect holiday party shoe with a pair of wide-leg trousers! SO cute, people!

Can't beat cute shoes for less than $40! And it's Target, so you know you're going to walk away with $132 worth of stuff NOT on your list, so just add these ahead of time and you won't feel bad when you get home. :)

Everyone have a great weekend! We are off to Kansas City for our first of two Two Dots shows in November! If you live in the KC area and want to shop AND love cheer competitions, come to the Shawnee Mission School District Cheer Festival at Shawnee Mission North (7401 Johnson Drive, Overland Park, KS) -- we will be selling Two Dots from 9:30 am -3 pm!

Next weekend, we will be at Gift Gallery at Cure of Ars School (9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS, 66206) from 7:30 am - 3 pm. Lots of vendorse at both the cheer competition and Gift Gallery - come shop! :)

Allyson

  1. I have a set of Sigma makeup brushes and I really love them but they are kind of pricey. The F80 makes applying foundation super easy though. I usually rotate between it and a Beauty Blender. Morphe makes really good brushes that are affordable and you're right, their eye shadow palettes are really good. My favorite is the 35O palette. Hopefully this helps you out!

  2. I have the Morphe Jaclyn Hill favorites palette and use it A LOT! I also just bought the Carli Bybel BH Cosmetics palette at Ulta. It's like $14 and has a lot of purple/brown, and some highlighters.
For makeup brushes, I loved my Sigma F80, too, but it's $24 on Amazon. It did last me over 3 years of everyday use, though! For the past few months I have been using this paddle brush and I LOVE it. Seriously, one swipe of this baby will blend my foundation right in! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C5JMSSK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The small one can be used for concealer, but I usually just use my beauty blender for that. For eye brushes, my favorite blending brush is from BH Cosmetics (the Brush 12- blending brush), and it goes on sale for $3 sometimes. I actually buy these for my sister's stockings. I have the black/pink polka dot set, and it's pretty good, too! My favorite crease brush is from Morphe, but it doesn't have a number/name on it.
Good luck at your show! My season starts tomorrow, too.
