Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm sorry about my lack of posting this week. My only response is... it's just been one of those weeks! I'm working really hard on Two Dots so I'm trying to balance it all and this week, the blog got put on the back burner!

But I will NOT short you Friday Favorites!

I wore this on Thursday and had a few people message me, asking where I got the sweatshirt from. And the answer is Old Navy.

I bought a similar sweatshirt from them last year in Heather grey that says 'hello there' and wore it all the time! They are super comfortable and cute to throw on with jeans and sneakers!

They have a few options and I wanted them all. But this one stood out to me.

After the week that we have had, still reeling from Las Vegas, thinking about my friend who two years ago in Paris was minding her own business, just like these concert-goers in Vegas... and someone decided to jack it up with guns and end lives.

She made it back home, as did a lot of the people at the concert in Las Vegas, but others didn't. And everyone's lives will be changed forever.

It is heartbreaking. And gut-wrenching. And unnecessary that evil triumphs. So let's not let it happen. Let's let love win. Buy this sweatshirt and wear it proudly! Maybe you'll change someone's outlook.

This is one of my favorite Essie colors for Fall! Angora Cardi -- not too bright for those that don't want their nails to be a topic of discussion, but a very pretty color that will get you through to winter!

If you haven't fallen into the Mule trend yet, I highly recommend you climb about the train!

Because they are amazing! And the perfect Fall shoe!

Two Dots has a pair of Soho Black Mules that I wore all day yesterday and am in love with! So if you're looking for an inexpensive route, check them out!

Last weekend when I was in Kansas City with my sister, we somehow got on this topic of mules and she showed these to me. Which was funny because I had seen them on a blogger in a fun magenta color and had equally loved them!

But this grey suede color is fantastic because it can go with so much! And at $70, it's hard to beat!

I'm mad that this hasn't been on my 'Favorites' until now. But alas, here it is!

This shop, Loop and Lil's is owned by a Sedan gal and her stuff is beyond adorable! She has an Etsy shop (by the same name), but is taking a little time off - I mean, she stays at home with two little ones.

I get it

. But please check out her Facebook page and if you're in to home decor and homemade gifts that are too cute to pass up, this is your gal!

Kimber, keep up the good work!

I feel like it's my life goal to get everyone to try LipSense at least once. Because once you try it, you either love it. Or you hate it. It's that simple.

But for those that hate it, I don't get it. I mean... it doesn't come off. How many times have you worn lipstick and loved the color and the look and then you go eat and drink and five minutes later, it's gone. The color. And the look.

Not with LipSense. And NOT with my current favorite color (I love them all, let's not kid ourselves). Somehow, I was probably the last distributor to try Caramel Latte. And I have no good explanation for you. Except to say I loved too many others and didn't want to commit to another one!

But I'm so glad I did! Truly, this is going to be my go-to neutral for Fall. I'm obsessed. It's soooo pretty! It's so similar to Caramel Apple, but it has more of a brown undertone than Caramel Apple.

I've got a few left in stock if anyone wants to try as well as some great Fall colors! Comment or message me!

And that's all she wrote, folks! Have a great weekend and crossing fingers the weather will remember that it is truly and officially Autumn. So act like it! ;)

And, as always.... Go Cats! Beat Texas!

Etsy Finds of the Week

Thursday. We've made it to Thursday. I don't know how, but we are here and my kids are all still alive and everyone has been fed and bathed.

Yes, Matt has been gone.

Which explains my lack of post yesterday! I even was working on one --- and then when I sat down at 5 AM this morning to try and finish it after feeding a sick Tess, I thought "Allyson, this is straight CRAY. Go back to bed for 15 minutes."

So I did.

BUT I'm here today so let's do this!
Modern Bib/All-in-One Scarf
By: Scabib
$12

My sweet nephew Anderson is still too teeny for bibs. And I doubt there is tons of drooling going on there yet.

But you can guarantee when the drool starts, he needs to be wearing this. This exact bib/scarf!

My brother will cringe.

But it will be fine because he's adorable and he will be in buffalo check and he will bring all the ladies to the yard!

I personally love this because you can just keep moving the bib around as one side gets a little more drenched.

It has a velcor-like/hook-n-loop closure and is the size of three bibs!

Can I take like 12 for Tess?!

Donut Party Birthday Shirt
By: Lil Threadz Clothing
$33 +

As a parent, you sometimes do silly (dumb) things. Like buy your growing toddler a pair of Uggs that they will only be able to fit in for five months.

Or give them yogurt while they are wearing nice clothes.

Or buy them birthday shirts that are $30.

I can confirm that I have done at least two of those three things.

AND I'm probably going to do one of them again for my Tess, who turns one on February 24! I LOVE these shirts! I got Reece a heather blue more simple version of this tee for his first birthday and I will say that we got every penny out of that shirt - he wore it ALL the time!

Look at that sweet baby!
So the quality is great, the prices are doable because your kid will wear the shirt every other day!

Beer Caddy
By: Mustache and Kisses
$25

Friends, I must admit... I don't really love Valentine's Day.

I might be demoted from Girldom for admitting that. But Valentine's Day is tough for me.

I LOVE to give gifts, I totally rock Christmas. But I never know what to get Matt because it really is more of a girl holiday (that guys hate) because it's lovey dovey, full of flowers and hearts and all that shtuff.

But thank goodness for my Etsy Finds of the Week because I found an awesome gift that will the giftee will be SO thrilled to get!

Ladies, you are welcome (for finding your guy the gift he will love)!

These babies are made of cedar and have a handy bottle opener attached to the side.

Shipping is just over $12. Get it ordered ASAP! :)

Everyone have a great Thursday and I pray Tess takes a nap so I can work on Friday Favorites! :)

Etsy Finds of the Week

Welcome to Thursday friends and another edition of Etsy Finds of the Week!

Pack of Proud Pooches Tea Towel
By: Mary Kilvert
$15.47

I have explained before my love of tea towels and how I am seasonal with them. I am also picky about the colors IN the tea towels -- they need to be bright when the seasons are brighter (spring, summer) and toned down when it's a more neutral season (fall, winter).

Then I found this shop and kind of threw all of my rules out!

This gal's stuff is adorable! And all would be great as house warming gifts, or small birthday gifts.

Mugs, aprons, tea towels, notebooks... and lots of just cute, fun prints!

She is English so none of this is surprising that I love it all!

Check it out!

 Doormat
By: Shop Josie B
$44

There are no words.

Because these doormats say it all for you!

I am obsessed with all of them!

Seriously, I have no words. Go look for yourself!!!

 Personalized Name Necklace
By: Caitlyn Minimalist
$29

I know I have talked about fun necklaces to purchase for Sloane that would be fun for her to wear around - the girl loves jewelry! And i feel like we have moved past the plastic jewelry, we are now on to real metals.

This necklace would be so cute with her name -- or what a great gift for a mom, girlfriend, best friend!

So simple and can be worn with other necklaces layering it!

Currently 40 percent off this necklace so get it while it's hot!

Everyone have a great day and we will see you back here tomorrow for Friday Favorites!

Etsy Finds of the Week

Good morning friends and welcome to the first Etsy Finds of the Week of 2017!

If you haven't read a few of my last posts, let me catch you up to speed:

  • My husband is starting a new job.
  • It's in Chicago.
  • Therefore we are moving to Chicago.
  • Hopefully not until school is out.

That's the gist!

So now when I'm on Etsy, I will have a little more purpose as I'll be hunting for new decor items for the next house we are in. Even though I don't know where that will be or what the house will look like. But you always need some new stuff to put in your 'new' house, right?!

Magnolia Wreath
By: Charming Pine
$55 +

Ever since Chip and JoAnna Gaines came into my life, I have been needing a magnolia wreath in my life. And really, I had never seen a magnolia tree until we moved to Bentonville. They are SO incredibly pretty and I wish that I could have one in all of my future yards!

Chip and Jo sell these wreaths in their store, but I did a little searching and found this one that I really like. I'd love to have a real one, and I found a  few sites that sell them on Etsy, but I don't especially love them when the leaves have dried up, which would inevitably happen in my house. I kill all plants.

This one is the most real-like with faux leaves. And this is probably the best price you will find for a faux Magnolia wreath! Would love it on a front door or as a decor piece inside.

Good reveiws and some really cute items in this shop if you're a Fixer Upper fan! Check it out!

House Shaped Shelf

I'm not sure how many of you moms out there have daughters who are obsessed with Shopkins.

But I am one of those moms.

These tiny little... things... have taken over my life. I don't even know what they are! But I know they are small and everywhere!

Sloane got a Shopkin case for Christmas and I truly thought that would help. But it hasn't, they are still everywhere!

So when I saw this adorable house, I thought BOOM! Kill two birds with one stone. Sloane needs stuff for her walls and a place to put her Shopkins and this will be perfect!

They can be painted any color you'd like and this seller has really good reviews!

 Rustic EAT Sign
 By: Pine Ridge Designs
$36

Well crap. I'm definitely going to have to get this. It's adorable and perfect for a kitchen or dining area!

Color options are endless but I'd stay simple and do white probably. And all letters are distressed and sanded for this same look.

Seller has really good reviews and can ship in 6-8 days! Fun gift idea for someone. Or yourself.

In my case, for myself. :)

Happy Thursday everyone!

Etsy Finds of the Week

Happy Thursday everyone! Another week almost down, another week closer to Christmas.

This makes me so happy and so anxious at the same time -- still have a few gifts left to get and a few reminders to my husband of gifts he is suppose to get!

Oh well... until then, some Etsy Finds of the Week that might help with your Christmas shopping (even though you all probably have had yours done for two weeks like my sister. Insert jealous eye roll).

Hair Tie Bracelets
$18.50

I'm not sure if you are one of the other 185 million women in the world that wear a hair tie around their wrist.

I am not one of those women. My sister is.

And I don't know about you, but I feel like this option is a bit cuter and maybe safer than wrapping a blood-constricting elastic hair around your wrist!

These are really cute and look like bracelets!

Straight from the site:
  • They come in a gold or silver finish.
  • They are high quality stainless steel.
  • Are polishable to achieve a high gloss shine.
  • Nickel free & Hypoallergenic.
  • Will not tarnish or turn your wrist green.
  • Finish is smooth and will not bubble with time or wear.
  • Comes with black hair tie.
There you have it! I highly recommend! Fits a extra small to extra large wrist. Great stocking stuffer!

Cranberry Spice Mini Bath Bomb
By: Kiyi Kiyi
$4

Three things about this find.

OK, maybe four.

1) I love baths.
2) I love bath bombs.
3) I love cranberry.
4) Awesome stocking stuffer idea!

I think that's enough for you to buy this immediately! :) The seller says this smells like cranberry with a splash of pine. Like you're swimming in a Christmas tree bath!

This bath bomb is made with moisturizing apricot kernal oil, cocoa butter and shea butter - a perfect relaxation treat!

Everything is made in Minnesota (which I can verify is a good thing) - they have lots of options on bath bombs, soaps, lip balms, etc.

Please check them out!

Oh Holy Night Pillar Candle
By: PCB Home
$9

This seller has got me again! I was just scrolling through Christmas gift ideas and this page popped up, followed by this adorable candle!

It's definitely unique -- and would be so cute up on a black pedestal candle holder on a mantle!

These pillar candles come in various sizes so the prices vary.

Please check this seller out if you haven't yet! Lots of great Christmas ideas for family, friends... or yourself! :)

Happy Etsy shopping everyone!

Etsy Finds of the Week

Happy Thursday to everyone! I almost did Friday Favorites in hope that maybe we could just skip right over Thursday, but ... here I am. Doing my Thursday Etsy Finds of the Week.

It will be fine.

It's almost Friday. :)

Here we go!

Travel Lego Playmat
By: Bee Sew Happy Boutique
$25

I am always on the hunt for toys and games that are easy to pickup, but this playmat serves as double-duty: easy to pick-up and easily transportable!

I love that we could grab this and take it with us to the grandparent's house for the weekend or just to play with on a long car ride (because we take so many)!

There are many different options of 'scenery', and it folds up and velcroes to stay together! There are big pockets on one side to keep toys in - my Reece loves Hot Wheels cars, so he would zoom them across this all day long!

The seller has really good reviews and can ship in 2-7 business days. Great gift idea for a kiddo in your life!

Light Box Vintage Style Sign

I know I've talked about these boxes before because they've become fairly popular recently, but I love how you can change out the text for a special event or a holiday!

Plus this specific box comes with 85 letters and symbols, so surely you could find a clever sign to create! :) It measures 30 x 22 x 6 (cm) so it's not going to take over a huge space, but the perfect size to place on a mantle!

Shipping IS $12, but the box is only $30 so I think it's a heck of a deal!!! It's ready to ship and the seller has good reviews, so add this to your Christmas gift list!

Kid Umbrellas
$14

So, my kids love umbrellas! They love umbrellas when it's raining, when it's not raining, in the bathtub. They love them.

And we can't seem to keep them - they get destroyed easily, which is why I was hunting for an inexpensive version and I found it!

My kids would love that it's clear so they can see out and it's big enough that there is a chance they might not get soaked! :)

You can choose the style of monogram you want and the colors. Currently everything is 10% off in the shop, so now is the time to buy!

Everyone have a great day and we will see you back here tomorrow for Friday Favorites!

Etsy Finds of the Week

Friends... it has been one of those weeks.

You know the kind, where you have approximately 522 things to accomplish but no time to accomplish any of them?

Two Dots had a big show over the weekend in Kansas City so I had to spend any free time I had this week to taking pictures and posting items to our site and social media. Which means something had to get left behind... Sorry Tess and Elm!

But I'm up bright and early today so I could bring you some Etsy Finds of the Week!
 Letters from Santa
$18 +

This shop came across my Instagram feed this morning and I immediately clicked on it! My kids would lose their minds to receive something like this! I was gone this last weekend and all I heard about when I got back was how they talked to Santa on the phone!

I LOVE these handwritten letters - it's hard to be able to write like Santa, but one of Santa's Little Helpres, who just happens to have an Etsy store in her part time, does a very nice job with it!

The letter are customized to each child, hand stamped and sealed with wax!

If you want one ASAP, contact the seller!

Really good reviews!
 Christmas Tea Towel
$12

I LOVE this shop.

Like... I didn't know which one item to pick. I ofcourse had to go with this one because it's from one of the best Christmas movies ('Elf') and because it's $12.

How do you find a more perfect stocking stuffer than this for $12?

I had leaned towards some aprons as well because I also think this shop's selection is adorable!

Please go look at this shop and tell me what you like! The options are endless and with great reviews!

Fresh Boxwood Wreath
By: NaturDesign
$39

We all know my obsession with boxwood. I believe one of my last Etsy Finds was of the mini boxwood wreaths I purchased last year to hang up on my glass cupboards in the kitchen!

Well I just came across this wreath and for $39, it's hard to pass up! It's fresh boxwood an will look so great with a bright red ribbon tied around it hanging on the front door!

The colors will vary depending on if you hang it outside or inside.

Five star reviews from this seller and can ship in 3-5 business days!

Everyone have a great Thursday!
